To celebrate their bi-centenary, the Royal Astronomical Society in 2018 commissioned a reimagining of Gustav Holst’s Planets Suite. Whilst NSC Creative produced the spherical visualisations, the music was split between the Philharmonia Orchestra to perform the original score, and Pip Greasley and Dale Corderoy of sonicxploras to create a new electronic interpretation.

To engage new audiences, we took our inspiration from both current science-based data and Holst’s own original astrological findings through his friendship with Alan Leo, author of ‘The Art of Synthesis’. - Pip Greasley
